Education is one of the keys to having a successful life. However, if you are able to break into the entertainment industry, then you may be able to achieve success without going to college. There are a quite a few celebrities who have decided to continue their education despite the fact that they already had a successful career. Below are five celebrities that have graduate degrees:

Shaquille O’ Neal
Some people do not know that Shaq attended Louisiana State University. He left the university in order to play basketball professionally, but he went back to school in 2000 and earned a bachelor’s degree in general studies. Shaquille O’ Neal did not stop with his bachelor’s degree. He took online classes at the University of Phoenix and earned his Master of Business Administration degree in 2005.

Lisa Leslie
Lisa Leslie is another basketball player who has continued her education by taking online classes. Before she decided to play in the WNBA, she attended the University of Southern California. She earned a bachelor’s degree in communications. She later took online classes at the University of Phoenix and earned a MBA.

Bill Cosby
Bill Cosby is known for making speeches about the importance of education. He is not a hypocrite because he has invested a lot of time in his own education. In fact, he has more education than most other people in Hollywood. While his stand-up comedy and acting careers were heating up, he was pursuing his master’s degree in education. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts. He would eventually return to school and earn a doctorate degree in education.

Not only does Cosby possess a doctorate degree in education, but he has also received honorary degrees from several universities. Some of those universities include University of Southern California, Virginia Commonwealth University, University of Pennsylvania, Amherst College and Berklee College of Music. He has earned honorary degrees in fine arts, humane letters and music.

Ken Jenong
Ken Jenong is an actor who is known for his roles in Knocked Up, The Hangover and The Hangover 2. He is also set to appear in The Hangover 3. Many people do not know that he is a physician. He completed his education before he entered the entertainment business. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Duke University in 1990. He then went on to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He graduated with a degree in medicine in 1995. After he earned his medical degree, he completed a residency in internal medicine.

Mayim Baalik
Mayim Baalik is best known for her role on Blossom. After the show ended, she decided to enroll in UCLA and study neuroscience, Jewish studies and Hebrew. Baalik took a short break from her studies in order to spend more time acting. She eventually went back to school and earned a doctorate degree in neuroscience in 2007. Baalik has appeared in a few movies, and she still makes appearances on television.
