Early Life

Born in London on 2 May, 1975, David grew up with his parents and two sisters in Leytonstone. An avid Manchester United supporter, David showed talent on the pitch from a young age, winning a national skills competition aged 11. He soon caught the eye of Manchester United scouts, signing up with the training academy at 16 and joining the club at 18.

Football Career

According to Business Insider UK, during his career at Manchester United, David scored 62 goals, played in three world cups and was the team’s captain for six years. During David’s time with the club, the team won the Premier League six times, the FA Cup twice, the UEFA Champions League and the World Cup Championship in 1999.

Despite David’s love for Manchester United, fans were shocked when he announced his move to Real Madrid in 2003. In 2007, he then made his Major League Soccer debut with LA Galaxy, where he remained for five years. During this time, he was loaned to Milan twice.

David announced his retirement from professional football in 2013, shortly after winning a title for the French club Paris Saint-Germain. In his 21-year career, David played 523 games, scored 97 goals and won a number of accolades.
