Beauty Tips To Get A Winter Glow This Winter

Regardless of one’s age, achieving a beautiful, winter glow is a lot easier than one would think, and is certainly a lot less expensive. The first step towards revitalizing your look requires nothing more than understanding what it takes to create a fresh complexion and healthy, shiny hair. Follow a few simple tips and you will be stunned by how great you look in practically no time at all.

What You Need:

• Bath and shower gloves

• Olive oil

• Inexpensive hair conditioner

• Powdered vitamin C

• Any face cream

• Hemorrhoid cream

The Face
The opposite of a glowing complexion is a dry, dull complexion. What most people don’t realize, however, is that a dull complexion is not the result of a lack of moisture, but rather a buildup of old, dead skin. This is especially true for older women. As we age, our skin does not regenerate as quickly. As a result, it thickens, building up over time and accentuating fine lines and wrinkles.

Contrary to popular belief, the fix is not to moisturize. All moisturizing does is plump up old dry skin. The answer is to strip down the skin as much as possible. The result is a smooth complexion that regenerates faster as well. To do this, keep a pair of bath and shower gloves in the shower. With the gloves on, lather up with a moisturizing soap and quickly exfoliate your entire body, especially your face, neck, chest and arms. Do not be fearful of applying pressure.

When you emerge from the shower, add a tiny bit of powdered vitamin C to your face moisturizer, mix until dissolved and apply. This provides an additional glow to your skin and is the equivalent of a high-end, fruit acid product. Use sparingly, however, because excess vitamin C will dry out your skin. If it does become excessively dry, do not despair. Discontinue the vitamin C. In a few days your face will look better than it has in years as a result of your homemade facial peel.

The Eyes

A common reason for looking less than your best is eye puffiness. A favorite secret remedy is to use hemorrhoid cream as an eye cream. It really works miracles. Not only is it moisturizing, but the caffeine eliminates water build up unlike anything else. Apply carefully and sparingly around entire eye area while making sure not to get it into the eyes. If you do this at night, you will awaken looking radiant and refreshed.

The Hair
One of the dirty little secrets of the beauty industry is that shampoo is horrible for our hair, and often unnecessary. Olive oil, on the other hand, is a miracle in a bottle. Before you get into the shower, coat the ponytail section of your hair with the oil, making sure to avoid the scalp. Once in the shower, allow warm water to run directly onto your head for approximately one minute. Liberally apply conditioner all over and allow it to remain for several minutes. Rinse thoroughly before applying a dime-sized amount of conditioner to the ponytail section of your hair. Comb through and dry as usual.

The Makeup
Glowing complexions mean minimal makeup. Apply concealer to problem areas and lightly dust face with a shimmery mineral powder. Accent eyebrows, apply mascara and light gloss and prepare for the compliments that are sure to come your way.
