The Most Famous People In All Of History And What Made Them Famous

There is no one way to become famous, but plenty of people have earned fame over their lifetime. Some have earned their fame for political reasons, some have earned their fame for historic reasons and others have earned their fame due to celebrity.

Although there are thousands of famous people in the world, the following are the most famous people in all of history.

Martin Luther King, Jr.
Martin Luther King, Jr. earned his fame for his actions in the Civil Rights movement. He was a clergyman and activist, and he used nonviolence to help spread the word of equality between whites and blacks during the 1950s and 1960s. Most people are aware of his “I have a dream” speech. King was assassinated in 1968, but his life and his death are the reason that equality is around today.

Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln is known as being the 16th president of the United States, but it’s his actions as president that earned him his fame. He helped lead America through the Civil War, and he abolished slavery in America.

Albert Einstein
Albert Einstein was a physicist who found many of the scientific findings we have today. A true genius, he studied physics and came up with many of the theories that are used in science today, including the theory of relativity and the equations of motion.

George Washington
George Washington played a role in many historic occurrences. He played a major role in the French  and Indian War as well as the American Revolution, and he was also one of the Founding Fathers and contributed to the US Constitution. And even after all of this, he is most known for being the very first president of the United States.

Neil Armstrong
Neil Armstrong played another significant role in American history. On July 21, 1969, Neil Armstrong was the very first person to ever step foot on the moon. He is known for the phrase, “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”

Anne Frank
Anne Frank is the most famous victim of the Holocaust. She wrote in her diary about everything that was going on during Nazi Germany, and her brother, the only survivor in her family, found and published her journal, which is now a staple read in all schools across the world.

Michael Jordan
Michael Jordan may not be known for a scientific discovery or historical event, but he is by far the most famous athlete of all time. He has been dubbed the best basketball player in all of history, and his athleticism has earned him fans across the world.

Barack Obama
Whether you love him or hate him, Barack Obama is one of the most famous people of all time for two main reasons. First, he’s famous for being the very first African American president in the United States. And second, he’s known as being the president who captured and killed Osama bin Laden, the main terrorist in the September 11th attacks.
