There’s no question that the holidays are a time to have fun and share memories with those that you know and love. However, once the holidays end and the reality of several months of winter is realized, many people will become depressed. Seasonal affected disorder is a common condition caused by a lack of Vitamin D. The natural source of Vitamin D is the sun, something many of us don’t get enough during the winter months when it’s colder. However, another reason why many of us are more sad or depressed is the lack of social interaction. After the holidays, there are a fewer number of parties, and this is a shame. Here are some ideas for parties during the winter months, including casino nights complete with a spin the wheel game and the ultimate Super Bowl party.
Celebrate the Super Bowl in Style: While it’s true that only one team’s fans can be happy each year, that doesn’t mean everyone should be miserable during the Super Bowl. There are several key components to any good Super Bowl party: decorations, delicious food and fun guests. The decorations set the theme of any party. But with a Super Bowl party, you should get a few football themed decorations. Speaking of guests, you should review your guest list before you finalize it. If you know certain people have strong personalities, it might be a good idea to not invite them – unless that person makes good guacamole.
Casino Night is no Gamble: If you’re looking for an excuse to put on a tux, why don’t you consider hosting a Casino night in your home. There are a number of games that you can include, like any spin the wheel game, poker, blackjack and more. To make it even more fun, you can make your own money, which could be traded in later for prizes.
Valentine’s Day Singles Party: Nobody likes to be single on Valentine’s Day. Remove the stigma of the day and take the bottle of red wine out of your hand. Instead, get together with others who are inflicted with the same singleness you suffer from. Just because Valentine’s Day is traditionally a day for those who are in love, you don’t have to be alone. Have a dinner party or plan a girl’s night out to make the night memorable.
Just because the holidays are over doesn’t mean you have to stop the party. Remember, there’s always a time to celebrate and come up with your own personal party that may be a tradition year after year.
