A total of 157 fresh Exhibitors have been declared by the World Travel Market for the upcoming event of WTM 2012.
List includes: hotel chains, techno firms, Tour operators and Tourist boards that will be hosting their exclusive stands.
The event will be held at Excel-London.
Europe has the highest number of new exhibitors, with 41, making their debut at the stands. Tourism boards range from Lille and Belarus to San Marino along with Economic Development ministry of the Republic of Komi, form the diverse group of exhibitors representing Europe.
Big name hotels like Palladium, the Spanish hotel group, and German hotel group, Steigenberger, will also be making their first appearance at the Main stands.
36 technology companies will also be debuting at the stands; this fact is a testament to the growing importance of web developers and other technology in the world of travel, especially in this age of technology.
These technology based companies come from a wide range of disciplines and few of them are very well known names, such as the e-learning specialist; Online Travel Training, and the online travel agency; Travel Republic.
Hotelogix and Intuitive will be heading the representation of the Software companies at the event while firms like Revinate and Voiamo are a testament to the growing importance of Mobile phones and social media.
18 new exhibitors will make their debuts in the GLOBAL Village region, testifying that the diversity of suppliers at WTM. Wholesaler Adonis, Chic outlet shopping (Europe), K+K boutique Hotels are a few of these 18 debuters in the Global Village region.
Asia will have 13 new exhibitors, pointing to the Growth in China’s travel industry. The growth in Asian representation is also due to emergence of new destinations like Uzbekistan, represented by Uzbektourism, Vietnam, represented by Vietnam group, and Krygyzstan.
India, with 12 new exhibitors, has its very own stand-alone region at the WTM 2012. Some of the representations of India are Inbound Tour Operator council (West Bengal), Brys Hotels, and Odisha Tourism.
After an impressive year with respect to Tourism and events like Diamond Jubilee and Olympics, UK is hoping to get good results at the WTM. UK has 12 new exhibitors at the event, including names such as English Heritage and the National Trust.
African region, which has seen a very continued development in Tourism in recent times, will have 10 new exhibitors. Libyan Export Promotion center and Airkenya will be among the ones making their debut.
Americans and the Caribbean have 8, while The Middle East welcomes 7 new exhibitors in this WTM 2012.
Emphasizing on the role of WTM in tourism world, Simon Press-Exhibitions director WTM, said; “WTM 2011 generated a massive £1,653 million of travel industry contracts with even more business expected to be conducted in at WTM 2012.”
